A Caregiver/Personal Care Attendant:
• Supports organizations mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job, with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with patients.
• Provides personal care services as established in the patient’s plan of care.
• Acts as a liaison with patients and agency. Stays in constant communication with patients and their families on a regular basis.
• Submits required documentation as per agency policy and procedures.
• Ensures compliance of agency, infectious control, state, and safety policies.
• Adheres to the organization's policy regarding absenteeism and appearance.
• Performs functions including some or total assistance with the following: 
  1. Bathing of a patient. 
  2. Dressing. 
  3. Grooming.
  4. Toileting.
  5. Walking. 
  6. Transferring from bed to chair or wheelchair.
  7. Feeding/Preparing meals.
  8. Encouragement to take medication. 
  9. Providing routine skin care needs.
  10. Support using medical supplies and equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs.

Requisitos

Possesses the ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions, and work with limited supervision. • Successful completion of the training courses. • Successful completion of competency exam. • High school diploma or GED. • Receive a negative TB test result required. • Federal and state criminal and child abuse background checks required. • A working cell phone with compatibility to clock-in and clock-out using the EVV application required by state.

Responsabilidades

Physical Demands and Environment Primarily working indoors with patient contact, use of specific equipment to assist caregiving. Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, and use a computer. May be used to see, talk, and hear if a patient is impaired of a sense.
